Abstract

This article analyzes the evolution of Personal Income Tax since its creation, with law 44/1978, of 8 September , until the current legislation. It shows the essential characteristics of each one of the laws that has regulated the Tax in the last 40 years and the large differences between the actual income tax and the initially proposed.
